ASUS WL-500GP dead after flash with DD-WRT

If your WL500gP no respond to a ping or if you can't flash again via ASUS firmware restoration do the following:

    Open the case (screws are under the rubbers)
    Remove the cover inside with a little screwdriver
    Short PIN 9 or the marked solder point to ground (e.g. to the outside of the power connector) with a cable and a needle.
    Turn the WL500gP on for approx 5 Seconds.
    Turn the WL500gP off
    Remove the short circuit bridge
    Turn the WL500gP on by holding the reset button
    Now, you can flash again Smile

Be care: don't short cut PIN 8 or PIN 10! It will destroy the device! At the best you use the marked solder point!

This instruction works fine for my WL500gP. To make it easier for other peoples I make this picture.

thx so much at all who find out the pin 9 Shocked method.
i can't belive it, my asus wl-500gp is alive.

I would like to say thank you also for the picture and the excellent instructions. I have debricked my WL-500gP! Now if I can only find a stable dd-wrt later than July 27 with VPN..

I hope this helps peoples with bricked units.

V23_SP2 01.08.and higher works fine. No reboot-loops etc. Smile
