I want to setup my blu ray player to stream Netflix movies over the internet. I have a WRT54GL setup with dd-wrt on it right now as my main wireless router. I'm considering buying another one and using it as a bridge to my blu ray player. My question is, are the speeds of wireless G good enough to stream movies with no problem or should I go with N?

My ISP at main router: 3000 bps.
XBOX 360 Live streaming from Netflix, throttled by QoS on client router: 2000 bps
Wireless G rate: 27000 bps.

Yes, the G works fine.

Is it not as simple as setting a static ip on the unit and plugging it into the router?
