I am experiencing a 50% drop in wired speed—from 110Mbps download with stock firmware to 54Mbps download with a DD WRT flashed router. I have tried multiple builds on a Linksys E2000:
8/12/10 2.6 14929
12/24/10 2.6 15962
and now
10/29/14 3.0 25203
... all with similar results. I have tested with many different configurations and am not able to get it to top 60Mbps down. The stock firmware with default settings is around 110Mbps.
I have changed the QOS settings to the recommended values and that actually dropped me down to 10Mbps. I have changed many other settings, used telnet, 30/30/30 reset, etc., but nothing has solved the issue.
I have spent about a full day mucking around with this—Because the stock firmware does not allow me to set up a guest network without Cisco Connect, I have been using DD-WRT for years. I just upgraded my ISP speed a couple days ago, so now this is an issue. Does anyone have any ideas?
Actually, the 15962 build is about 20Mbps faster than the 25203 build in default configuration, but this is still 40Mbps slower than I am getting with stock firmware.
