I know this router is old but....

I have a WRT54GS V7 i looked through the forum but i cant find the answer to my question....the router is already flashed and has ddwrt on it dd-wrt.v24_micro_wrt54gv8.bin from 2007...when i try to flash in the web gui to a more recent build the build doesnt stick...the router restarts and nothing is updated...

Are you trying to flash a micro build? Also, you may not be able to use a NEWD build on that router...

You can and should use newd, but it does need to be micro.

I bricked it twice with a newd2 build and a vint build but I revived it with tftp....I don't understand why the micro builds that I am trying don't stick
