i've encounter some problem on this router...my friend connect to the wireless of this router..
his laptop got connection..and the signal bar is around half..but he can't surf any net at all..
when he type on google.com...it just show connection fail..can i know what's wrong with it?is it the router problem or their laptop issue?his housemate can open webpage but it is very very slow...
Remember - if using Wireless-N - use WPA2-AES only!
Also - recommend setting NG-Mixed, not N-Only mode. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !

Can you ping the router?
I am on build 14684 and have similar problem.
Even though I got 3 bars out of 5 in Windows, the wireless connection isn't stable, I got quite a lot of ping loss between the wireless client and G300N.

Why is NG-mixed the recommended setting? The rate dropped to 54Mbps when I chose it.
Does NG-mixed mode means the G300N will choose the most 'suitable' rate?
Do you get 300Mbps with NG-mixed?
I am going to test its stability now, will tell you the results here

You CAN get up to 300mbps using NG-Mixed mode as long as no G clients are currently connected.
Realistically, you will never hit 300mbps, usually around 270mbps is max.
Wireless-N has a lot of overhead for both sending and receiving. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !

I've tested NG-mixed and Mixed mode.
The ping time is shorter on NG-Mixed, but both has ping drops.
I don't have any wireless G clients, one of my clients runs 150Mbps N though. However, every time when I chose NG-mixed, the rate drop immediately to 54Mbps.
