Hello.

My System:
Mircosoft Windows 7, Enterprise, 64Bit
Intel WiFi 5100 AGN WLAN-Network
D-Link Dir 615, Hardwareversion D3
Provider: Kabel Deutschland (non A-DSL)
    New Firmeware Update:
    DD-WRT v24-sp2 (21.11.2010 (D.M.Y.)) std
    (SVN revision 15778)
Until the update, I had the same error. No Network connecting / slow network.
Now, with the new DD-WRT Firmeware, the connection is no problem. Fast and stable.

Hallo.

Hello everyone!

I can confirm that the problem isn't be solved yet. I got a new laptop Sony Vaio VPCSB18GG recently which is equipped with Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN wifi card and Win7 64-bit. The problem still occur randomly which I cannot reproduce it.

Below are my hardware and firmware:
-Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N, with Buffalo official DD-WRT pro firmware, v24SP2-AP-TW std build 15501. (tested with DD-WRT official firmware too, no different)
-Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit edition
-Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN with latest driver from both Intel and Sony official (MWT 14.0 and 1000BGN 13.5)

And the corresponding wireless configuration:
-NG-Mixed
-Channel Width: 20MHz (and other combinations are tested either)
-Wireless Channel: Auto (tested with most channels too, even avoid collision by looking at site survey)

Symptom
When the Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN card is connected to the DD-WRT router with 802.11n mode, the connection rate is 130Mbps, all situations seems normal. But after some occasion, I cannot browse any websites, or it load any websites extremely slow. The "ping" to the router is mostly timed out (9 out of 10 packets timed out), sometime there is response but have a extremely high latency (~3000ms), the connection status reported by Windows 7 is still connected. The DD-WRT Wireless Status page still can see the 1000BGN connected, with TX Rate 130Mbps and RX Rate 1Mbps (seems the 1000BGN refused to transmit packet).

At the same moment, I connect the router with my another laptop which is equipped with Intel Wireless 4965AGN wifi card, it is fine to connect to the router whereas the 1000BGN is still struggling with the problem.

The point is at there, I keep pinging from the 4965AGN and 1000BGN to the router, and keep watching 1000BGN timing out and 4965AGN is still normal. After some minutes (maybe 10~15 minutes later), ALL THE WIFI DEVICES will be failed to communicate with DD-WRT router eventhrough they are still shown connected.

At this point, all other devices cannot re-connect to the DD-WRT router. But if I disconnect the 1000BGN explicitly, all other devices are resumed to normal IMMEDIATELY.

Another Problem which keep crashing the 1000BGN
I just found out if I configure the router to use "Dynamic Channel Width" (which is 20/40MHz), when the 1000BGN connected to the router, and then re-connect to an AdHoc device immediately (or creating a new adhoc network), the system will be crashed, or become unresponsive until if you can disconnect the network, re-enabling the wifi card (sometime it is completely crashed so you cannot resume it unless rebooted).

Conclusion
The Intel Wifi Driver seems still buggy, which causing many problems with DD-WRT firmware.

Hope someone can tackle those problems out exactly.

problems remain with this adaptor in Windows 7 x64 on a Dell Inspiron N5110. I stripped out all drivers and replaced with the most recent and basic version of the intel drivers. There does not appear to be a windows based embedded driver so installing the intel driver was essential to get it going at least to an unreliable level.

DD-wrt is on Asus WL-520GU. I used v24-sp2 (02/23/10) mini-usb-ftp (SVN revision 13972). Cut out times are variable from a range of 5-30mins. Resetting the adaptor works.

I'd like to hear of any updated dd-wrt version likley to solve the problem. I'd be prepared to install logging software. The logging system provided intel is fairly simple and doesn't seem to pick up anything.

As an update and only after overnight run, disabling IP V6 protocol on the adaptor (via the properties page) seems to have stopped the random disconnects I was experiencing.
This applies to a Dell Insperon N5110 with Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030 adaptor.

I tried lengthening the key renew interval but this didn't help, not that this was a likely problem.

So the technicl experts may be able to amke out something from the large variation on what helps, mybe the problem is in another area?

I hope this isn't too off-topic, but any idea how I can access channel 12-14 on the 4965agn on Win7x64?

I have a 5100agn and a wrt610n suffering from slow throughput, tried to update the drivers, but no increase of speed.
Found out that enabling the setting 'frame burst' gave me an increase from around 25 mbits/sec to 35 mbits/sec.
