Hey I have two belkin routers f7d3302 v1 both at dd-wrt.v24-17084_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega. One of the routers is on repeater-bridge mode.

Is there any other version, more updated, or more stable? I'm having some troubles with wifi (unstable)

Regards,
Tiago

I'm using the latest kong build for this router, also as a repeater bridge:

I also have a startup script that seeks to re-join the AP network if it cannot point the primary router's IP.

Hey guys. Just flashed the latest April 1st build after running the February one for 24 hours. I can't seem to get any wireless speeds over 65-72 Mbps according to the status page. Signals are good and I have a variety of WiFi devices connected. Wpa2 aes encryption. Radio voltage at stock 72mv setting and i have tried both 20/40mhz and lower and upper. Anyone having luck with higher spreads on earlier builds? Seems this might be software related.

I've just read through most of this topic.
I have a F7D3402 modem/router. I realise that modem/routers are officially unsupported by DD-WRT, however I am wondering if it is possible to load the firmware for the F7D3302, and use the device as a router (I have another modem) with NAS and VPN services.
I've tried loading the 3302 firmware via the CFE miniServer page with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

blindly flashing firmware to an unsupported router is asking for a brick :/

as i understand, the 3402 has no plans of ever being supported either, as it is an adsl modem and dd-wrt is router firmware

Thanks for your reply.
From what I understand the two devices are identical in terms of hardware, except that the 3402 has a modem as well. I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that I'd be able to use the 3302 firmware image. There was some reference to this model earlier in this thread.

if its the exact same hardware with just an addition of a modem chip youre more than welcome to try to flash it. but i suggest you get jtag working first and dump cfe/kernel/nvram then dump wholeflash as well just in case you brick it. as there were never any plans to support it, it is still uncharted waters and no one can say whether dd-wrt firmware would work on it or not until you try.

I searched in all usual places and there is no indication if this model is similar to F7D8302 (which IS supported).
Interestingly enough, the Belkin manual page for 9302 points to the 8302 one actually. I'd be happy if someone would tell me it is actually the same router and I can flash.
I got it for a very good price, but without DD-WRT it would be useless, as I actually need a bridge or at least a wireless client function.
I'd rather not flash blindly....

TIA

what is the fcc id on your F7D9302? if it matches the F7D8302 then it is probably the same device. pictures of the hardware inside would also help

See how anxious I was to flash DD-WRT - I haven't even got the router yet, just ordered it yesterday. Laughing
Will post back even if for nothing else but to clarify why so many sites (including Belkin) seem to treat these 2 as the same model.

For posterity (and beyond) F7D9302 (with or without suffix fc) is IDENTICAL to F7D8302v1.
I hope this answer comes up on Google searches for the product, as it would help others decide to buy a product that supports DD-WRT.

I could not flash mini from CFEWeb mini, but it worked from the GUI.

Got my favorite load 18024 loaded and the router set in client bridge mode - reason why I bought it.

I get 70-80Mbps file transfers between my NAS and a PC connected to Belkin CB. Mission accomplished Smile

Hi just flashed Belkin dd-wrt Belkin F7D8302v1 with min, then mega. (dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega.bin)
The 2.4G band works, but 5G shown in UI, but not broadcast.
How to fix this?

Do I have to change the nvram setup for these 2 params?
Current:
lan_ifnames=vlan1 eth1 eth2

landevs=vlan2 wl0 wl1

Should I set it to:
nvram set lan_ifnames='vlan2 eth1 eth2 eth3'

nvram set landevs='vlan1 wl0 wl1'
like suggested by this link?

I purchased Belkin F7D8302 v1, flash it with DD-WRT from Belkin Stock firmware upgrade, to dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6 mini version, then mega no problem at all.

The dual band works, and broadcast properly.

Getting bolder, I updated to dd-wrt.v24-23082_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega.bin, and completely brick the router.
(No light whatsoever)

Is there a golden rule to update DD-WRT to newer build?
For example, K2.6, do 30/30/30 reset, go with newer mini first, then mega?

Learn the hard way.

Thanks

HELP! I flash Belkin f7d8302 to the latest dd wrt. I follow the fashion fist mini then mega. However the issue is the wifi is not broadcast if you set the wifi password. Would anyone help me out?
Thank you.

I run v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6, mega, and everything runs, including wifi.
Maybe stick to this version?

Thanks
