What is the model/version number on the routers label?
The FCC photos of the AP is for a Rev. 2.0 circuit board with AR9132 cpu and they match your photos.
The label in the FCC files shows WA901ND without any version number.
WA901ND v1, circuit board Rev. 1.1, is documented at openwrt and they also mention the changes in the v2.
The v1 has an AR7240 cpu and an AR9285 radio while the v2 has an AR9132 cpu and AR9103 radio.
The question now is which version dd-wrt supports, I guess it is the v2 but Brainslayer ought to clarify which hardware he has ported for. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

intesting. the v2 is technically a older device then v1. v1 has a better cpu and better radio than v2 _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s

Seems like a change has been made at some time, maybe because of cheaper hardware?
I don't agree with you though about better radio, the AR9285 is a single stream radio while the AR9103 is a tripple stream radio, right?
If you look at the other TP-Link AP's, then WA701ND is a 7240 + 9285 (1 stream) , the WA801ND is a 7240 + 9287 (2 stream) and all 3 AP's has the same amount of ram and flash.
So a WA901ND must have something else to make it differ from a WA801ND and that is the triple stream radio ie 9132 + 9103.
You did not answer the question that many users here has been asking during the last months:
Which version is it that dd-wrt is made for?
Which cpu and radio have you ported for? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Just unpacked a TL-WA901ND, the firmware upgrade page in the web-gui claims hardware version "WA901N v2". The FCC ID according to a sticker on the bottom is TE7WA901ND. snmpwalk reveals the version string "Linux TL-WA901N 2.6.15--LSDK-6.1.1.40 #8 Thu Jul 22 11:41:05 CST 2010 mips"
Eagerly awaiting replies in this thread if I can flash it with DD-WRT

only v1 is supported right now. technically the v1 is much better than v2. v2 uses a much older chipset _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s
Oh, me too.
Just bougt 4*941nd v3.6 and 4*901nd v2.2. First are dd-wrted already but 901nd needs your attention, dear gods.
I want 'em to have the same uptime as other dd-wrt devices, please =)
