I have used the DD-WRT firmware for the WAP54G, but now need to use the newer WAP610N, which is not listed in the device list. Is it possible to use the firmware made for the older version on this newer access point? I believe they both use the same chipset.

Don't flash it unless you're sure of what you're doing. Otherwise you could brick it.

the device is not supported by dd-wrt. it does not have the same chipset as the wap54g
