So is there a way to make this card autodetect??

I did try to install the via-velocity mod with insmod but here is the result:

insmod: cannot insert '/lib/modules/2.6.24.111/kernel/drivers/net/via-velocity.ko': File exists

but on centos the same hardware run with this module/driver..

Please help I would really like that have a great rooter at home...

The PC-Engine Boxes and that SR-71 Cards? I stopped looking for months as this did not seem to get addressed.

Any updated?

I'm trying to install dd-wrt r19519 on my hardware, but the NIC is not detected automatically:

Quote:

02:00.1 Class 0200: 8086:8802 (rev 02)

02:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Platform Controller Hub EG20T Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 02)
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 11
I/O ports at e020 [size=32]
Memory at d0158000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512]
Capabilities: [40] Message Signalled Interrupts: 64bit- Queue=0/0 Enable-
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2

If I manually insert the oki-semi driver using "insmod pch_gbe" then the card is detected.

pch_gbe 0000:02:00.1: setting latency timer to 64
pch_gbe 0000:02:00.1: MAC address : 00:10:f3:28:d7:c9

But the NIC still isn't working. There's no eth0 device, and I don't get an ip address from dd-wrt.

Can I modify the config so that the NIC is detected or do I have to wait for a next release?

Somewhat uncommon card(s), but I have a couple 4-port National Semiconductor based cards that use the "CAS" driver.

lspci -v (from one, I have eight of these entries total as I have two 4-port cards):
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn] 10/100/1000 Ethernet Controller (rev 30)
Flags: bus master, 66Mhz, slow devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
Memory at dd000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
Expansion ROM at 40000000 [disabled] [size=1M]

I pastebined the dmesg due to length, http://pastebin.com/0haqz1EK

Seems to be broken on autodetection in the last BrainSlayer release. Any suggestions on how to fix this from where I'm sitting?

Thanks!

Unfortunately I saw this thread after removing the card to take it back, so I don't have the lspci -v information... However I can tell you the following wouldn't work in my system:

Brand: D-Link
Model: DGE-530T
H/W Version: C1
