I wonder where I can find the commands and their explainations for something like how many active connections, how many junk but not cleared connection for troubleshooting purpose when the router's web interface slows down or freezes.

Use netstat. Use telnet or ssh to command-line login into you router and type 'netstat'.
For usage and (some) explanation google for 'manual netstat' which will bring you the manpage of netstat. They are all more or less the same. I don't know how many of the netstat options are supported under DD-WRT, but the basic ones seem to be availble.
Thanks a lot! But unforunately many of the options of netstat do not work under dd-wrt.
The netstat manual helps me to understand some of the terms that are used in dd wrt, which is great.
