Hi Everyone,

Looking at the Supported Router Database on the Wiki, the Airlink AR690w appears and shows the minimum DD-WRT Version as: v.24 sp2 - build 13908 - 20100213

I cannot seem to find this release anywhere.

Also, when I type it in on the router database, it shows as "WIP".

I have searched the forums and have not been able to find anything saying this router is supported, however, after seeing it on the wiki, I am holding out a little hope.

Can anyone tell me where I can find v.24 sp2 - build 13908 - 20100213 (assuming last part is the date)

Thank you!

I can't seem to find this build either for this router. Will the 670 build work on this router?

Based on the changes I see in svn, it may work. I'm willing to brick my router to try it, and I'll let people know if it bricks my router or just works.

Unfortunately, I cannot brick my router right now. Let me know if you try it and it works and which build you used.

Can we get a current build posted from the SVN?
It looks like there has been a new version for the 670 built recently based on the Router DB, but the 690 is in none of the "other" directories.
I have a router I can test on, but as my Linux box is down I can't pull the SVN and do the build myself.

So I got tired of waiting around and tried flashing The Edimax firmware for the RT2880 Chip and that didnt work, kept dumping me back to the emergency upload page. The 670 firmware will upload, and function great as a repeating bridge. It even seems faster than the 670 itself which may be due to the switch not being loaded. At any rate, now I suppose if you can telnet in, that means you could load the switch manually, or maybe Openwrt is the way to go.

Did you do the 2 stage flash or just a single flash of the second build?

So far just the factory dd-wrt webflash. I haven't tried using the Edimax firmware after loading the ar670w firmware because it would have to be wirelessly uploaded until I get a serial cord this weekend.

I can get the 670 factory flash to install by modifying the initial header description to a ar690w, but then any build in install direct from dd-wrt will work for an initial 30 second boot (it boots in to the edimax once then erases the nvram and reboots to uboot complaining about a checksum) that said the switch driver correctly installs for that 2 seconds.
we really just need BS or Sash to post a build from the SVN for the 690 as teh work is done, we just need the file.

yeah i spend most of the day yesterday instaling a new machine, and downloading the source code from subversion to try to perform a build, unfortunately it fails because the current MIPS toolkit complains about a variable change in the ralink driver.

I think we will have to wait for BS or Sash to do the build for us.
