Picked up E3000 on black friday to replace my trusty old wrt54g. Out of the box did a 30/30/30 reset, flashed 15508. Disabled 5ghz radio, 2.4 radio on G/N mixed. G band is flawless, never any issues. N band stops working every day or every few days. Sometimes SSID stops broadcasting altogether, sometimes it broadcasts but won't assign ip's. Updated to 15943 big build, issues persists. I have 3 N devices, xbox, new dell xps laptop and android phone. The only way to get them to reliably connect is to reboot router daily.

I haven't used stock firmware at all, does anyone know if this issue is present on stock builds?

@Mrxela - see http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless-N_Configuration for how to proper configuration. Don't use Auto channel selection - pick one.

No

You can flash back using the Web GUI.

So long as you have not done anything to fubar the CFE, you can debrick it with a serial connection fairly easy. Guides are in the wiki for 'serial recovery' and i posted the pinouts in this thread.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=81707&start=0

If i use the board pinouts and not the serial in wan, i always just use small alligator clips wired to a ca-42 cable, then clip those onto the proper pads and debug using that method. Seems to have worked for me so far.

I know they are on here somewhere/everywhere, but could someone who knows create (or consolidate) a screenshot or list for the "best settings" for WL-0 Advanced, WL-0 WDS, WL-1 Advanced, and WL-1 WDS. I am sure that this will be useful to a lot of people to have it all on one post that is not on a random page out of 60 pages. Thank you for helping out as much as you all do.

Also, if anyone is familiar with the new Broadcom InConcert chips, I am having a few problems with this and my e3000.

Thanks

Short: Yesterday I bricked my E3000 with "dd-wrt.v24-15943_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega.bin" instead "e2k-e3k.bin". Tried 30/30/30 and other stuff... Finally I made MAX3232-to-RS232-to-USB adapter soldered to pads on the side of PCB. No console output ?! Got UBS oscilloscope from buddy and... 3.3V on both RX and TX pins. Unsoldered my stuff from E3000 pcb - still 3.3V on RX&TX. I'm pretty sure I didn't shortened them to either power or ground.

Can anybody suggest solution or maybe even explanation what's going on ?
