I was using r15778 with my wr741nd v2, but was having the problem of wireless turning off after 24h or so. At that point a power reset was needed. Other than that I was very satisfied with ddwrt.

I´ve updated now to r21061 in hopes of solving the issue. Will report back.

It might be working better with r21061.

Had to do a power reset only once, because the connection was painfully slow (even dd-wrt control panel).

After that, it´s been up two days and a half without a glitch.

Yup, my wr741nd v2 is definitely working well with r21061. More than five days now without issues. Very happy with dd-wrt!

I set it as dhcp forwarder, wan port assigned to switch. Connected to the main router supplied by the cable company. This way all computers see each other for file sharing. I could not make this work with the stock tplink.

I have r21061 running on my v4.21 but the adhoc wireless mode doesn't seem to be working. Is there any build that had/has that working? I'm using it for OLSR but the routers aren't communicating with each other because neither is in adhoc mode. Any suggestions appreciated!

Hello!

I have TL-WR741ND v1.7 (Chipset: AR7240, RAM: 32MB, FLASH: 4MB - copied from the database).

I have just updated it's stock firmware with the DD-WRT v24 PreSP2 [Beta] Build: 21061.

It installed successfully but I am unable to find the OpenVPN option under the VPN settings.

Is OpenVPN not available on this model? OpenVPN feature is why I installed DD-WRT on the router.

Thanx!

its a low end, aged, weak router. the deciding factor in its specs is the 4mb flash, not enough space to fit it

So OpenVPN feature cannot be installed/used on a router with only 4 MB of flash? Is there maybe a special version of DD-WRT firmware which would support OpenVPN for my particular router?

Hi again,

which of the two below would you recommend for DD-WRT with OpenVPN feature:

- Belkin F7D3302 (Chipset: BCM4718, RAM: 64MB, FLASH: 8MB)

OR

- Linksys E1200 (Chipset: BCM5357, RAM: 32MB, FLASH: 8MB)

Thank you!
