..and you are able with an computer connected to the client bridge (cable) to ping the AP?
I've tried many things but it doesn't work..
What I've tested:
TP-Link TL-WR841ND (build 15693) as AP
@ default factory settings without any changes
- without internet connection or connection to an other device
TP-Link TL-WR841ND (build 15693) as client bridge
@ your settings (toto2700)
result: i can't ping with an computer connected to the client bridge (cable) the AP-Router (192.168.1.1)
another question: if i auto assign the IP of the computer at client bridge side there is a problem to get a IP - i have to set it manually, when i do this which gateway and dns-server i have to write in?
a notice: at all settings i tried, the load of the client bridge router is very high (60-99%)
The gateway and dns-server : 192.168.1.1 (Primary Router's ip address)

My advise would be to use WDS, not Client or Client Bridge (in DD-Wrt terminology)
It works here, with combination of OpenWrt/Gargoyle router and TP-Link WR1043ND, WA801ND:
AP-WDS setup
Utilization for main router (AP-WDS = WR841ND) is rather low, I would say below 15%.
I tried your configuration at wr741ndv1. The bridge connect to my access point, but LAN and WLAN are not bridged. Because i cant ping the gateway (only the bridge). Does anybody know the reason?
in status->wireless
i see that the router connects to the net,
i see it in Access Point & Clients
and in the section Wireless Packet Info there is the following information:
Received (RX) 7 OK, no error
Transmitted (TX) 7 OK, no error
what could be a problem?
i'm getting desperate (
Sorry but what exactly is your problem?
this is exactly my problem. not only my it seems.

i can ping the secondary router (with dd-wrt) from my computer connected to it via cable, and it seems to be that the secondary router connects an access point via WLAN. But i can t reach the AP.

By request a file for reverting from dd-wrt to stock firmware.
Unpack the archive and flash the .bin file using dd-wrt's web gui page for firmware upgrade.
The file is for WR841n(d) version 5 only!!!
i wonder if there ways to re-flash to an older version of the firmware...
Do you mean downgrading to older SVN build version e.g. r15704 -> r15334? I did that before, make sure you perform the 30/30/30 hardreset before & after the re-flash.
