Hi,

I have a Buffalo WHR-G300N integrated in the following infrastructure:
Default-Router connected to internet setting up a Wifi1, serving IPs of 192.168.178.x
Now the WHR-G300N is connected by wire to the default router, also setting up Wifi1 to extend the wireless range. Additionally the WHR is used to set up a new Wifi2 for guests who cannot access the default subnet.

Following configuration is done at the WHR:
I disabled the router mode, gave it the static IP 192.168.178.2 and bridged the WAN port to the normal switch ports using the web GUI. I configured Wifi ath0 to create SSID Wifi1 as described above. In addition I created virtual wifi ath0.1 with SSID Wifi2 and selected unbridged mode on the same page setting 192.168.99.1 as the ath0.1 IP. Under webservices I set up dnsmasq options to serve IPs for 192.168.99.x
So until now all seems to function, having internet when connected to Wifi1 and also getting an IP of 192.168.99.x when connected to Wifi2. Ping to 192.168.99.1 works, also 192.168.178.2. But no connection can be made to the internet or other computers served by the default router.

So obviously I missed something to enable routing from ath0.1 connected devices to the default bridge br0. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

FYI you seem to have a WHR-G300N v2 which is Atheros based not Ralink. Follow this guide.
