ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/11-17-10-r15747/

It's working fine here on both of my DIR-600's, the 40 mhz band is stronger than with 15704! my "weak" router connects at higher speeds more often, that's cool (TX 150, RX 90-135 mbps).. the "strong" one doesn't drop from 150 TX / 135 RX

I'll leave some torrents doing their thing to see how this FW holds up. I'll post back when I get home, but for now it's all smooth sailing.

I have just installed this, seems fine up to now, speed seems ok.

Can i ask a question though, ive read about the 15+++ builds not showing the speed rate properly, is this why i am seeing the following:

With fw 14896 my speed rate shows 270mbps, i have a D-Link Dir-615D as far as i know it can reach 300mbps.
The issue is with any 15+++ version i only get 130mbps no matter what my settings are, i have just installed this fw and my speed still says 130mbps, is this an incorrect reading due to a fw issue thats not showing it correctly or will my speed be slower than with the 14896 fw?

thanks

I have upgraded two WHR-G300Ns from 15693. Both are running in RP N-only (20MHz) mode and everything seem to be fine. Looks like a keeper so far. I will post if there is anything to report.

I was having the same problem! I managed to solve it by tweaking the channels and the control channel. My DIR-600s are 150mbps routers, when they are working at 40 mhz they get 150 mbps, your DIR-615 is a 300 mbps router and it works at 300 mbps when the 40 mhz band is working. If it's not, then you get bad speeds like the ones you're experimenting (130 mbps and the like, for me it's half of that, 72 mbps max)

In 14896 it always worked, but to make it work in 15+++ builds, some tweaking has to be done. By fiddling with the settings I found out that when working in channel 1, 6, and 11 it is impossible to get the 40 mhz band to work, while using any of the other channels automatically makes the router connect at full bandwidth.

You're probably using one of those three channels, try the other ones, you'll probable get back to your 270 mbps.

----------------

I left my routers doing some torrents while I was away, seven hours of heavy load and no problems. This build is a keeper! Very Happy

@BrainSlayer,

please take a look on my ticket and see the update I made, this new version brought again the bug that don't let me connect after reboot using Wpa-Enterprise.

I also cannot get 300Mbps since 14896, have tried every channel combination.

Rolling back to 14896 and I get 300 Mbps immediately. Throughput is 8MB/s with 14896 vs 4MB/s with the latest release.

Something definitely changed.

Back I go... Sad
