I too face the same issue with this router. I am able to configure the LAN port for WAN and use it. However the switch vlan setting is not persistent across reboot. Is there a way to keep this setting persistent?

Also this setting gets cleared when a ppp redial happens.

Hi, I've set up ddwrt (build 23503).

Everything accomplished till setting up of USB drive, plus automount also working.

Problem I am facing is I am not able to login via Putty/telnet. It says wrong username/pass. I believe I have to enter router user/pass only or am I wrong ?

I also tried via linux but same result.

Am I missing something ?

Did you try userid of "root"? Usually the userid to login via the browser is "admin" but the telnet userid is almost always "root". Password should be the same.

Hi, I have an Asus N13U (B1), and I was trying to set it up with a K4305 3g dongle (Vodafone/Huawei), but did not manage (I selected mobile broandband for WAN, but did not get a connection, and I don't know how to debug this further).

Is this possible, even in theory? Looking at http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/3G_/_3.5G#Supported_Platforms one of the requirements is 8MB RAM (which I have), but the Ralink is not mentioned. If you can tell me that this is not implemented yet then I would give up trying for now.

The 3g modem on Linux installs its own software and then presents itself as an ethernet connection, so I don't know if I selected the right option for WAN, should I pick anything else?

I found out that the Beta versions beyond (04-18-2014-r23919) are unable to allow me to enter/save the SSID in order to make wifi work.

Thanks !!

corpuszero, you're not alone. I couldn't save SSID for 23919 above builds.

I found a thread that had similar problem, but that is on different chipset. (Broadcom)

Don't think it's related.

I tried 25648, it was unstable.
After a few days powered on, wireless and internet got really slow.
My 60mbps link went down to about 20mbps, which was solved by rebooting the router.
There was also a bug in the available wireless channels, it was only showing channels 6 and onwards.
I just downgraded to 22118, and so far no issues.
If I experience any weird behaviors, I let you guys know.

Hi Everyone... rather than start a new thread I thought I'd try and re-use an existing thread.

I have a Asus RT-N13U ver B here.. I'm interested in using it as an Internet gateway for firewall, traffic monitoring etc.

Can anyone advise of the current status of DD-WRT support on this device? Is it working ok?

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate your time!

I'm running Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r27378 (06/19/15) std with no issues and consistent performance.

Latest 28397 seems to be one of the best builds.

Thanks.... when was that build released? I installed DD-WRT on this router about two years ago, so I guess it's due for an update. Curious though - DD-WRT doesn't handle VPN does it? It'd be nice to bypass dodgy wifi hotspots.

I just want basic home protection, and monitoring as well. Traffic graphing, any kind of usage analysis and whatever. General interest stuff as well as home gateway usage.

What's the intrusion detection or source-IP scan blocking type thing like on DD-WRT? Does it do that?
