So, I have been running DD-WRT on a trusty old WRT54GS at home for about 6 months and I love the functionality I get. I have since convinced my work to go the same route with a DD-WRT router.

Internally we have about 50 client pcs (including vms) and 10-20 roadwarriors who need VPN access. PPTP or OpenVPN.

I have been given a price point of $300 to work with and been asked to buy a new router which will get flashed to DD-WRT. I am asking the community here, what router you suggest.

Facts:
We already have a GigE internal switch so we don't need Gigabit on the lan side but it would be nice.
We already have WAP's internally setup, so wireless is NOT a requirement and will prob ably be turned off IF we buy a wireless router.

I am currently considering the Linksys RV082, supported ASUS routers, and the preinstalled DD-WRT buffalo routers. Let me know what you suggest!

If you wanted great range, i would suggest either the buffalo routers or asus, i recently picked up an Asus RT-N16, couldn't be happier with it.
