Hi, this is the first time i have actually bought an Asus Router (Asus RT-N16)... The original firmware for it was terrible so I flashed it with the DD-WRT. However, I keep mystically disconnecting from the internet for no apparent reason, I'm almost positive it isn't my actual connection, rather it is the router. I figured it may be something I did wrong in the set up of the router? Is anyone else with this router having the same problem? Please help, this is very annoying, thank you.

The build is 14311. I forgot to add... It only starts working again when i restart the router... sometimes I have to restart it a couple of times.

I thought 14311 was flaky for my Asus

Try this one:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=others%2Feko%2FV24-K26%2Fsvn14853%2F

dd-wrt.v24-14853_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin

Download that build and flash it.

Also - quite a few Asus RT-N16 owners, including me, are getting replacement power supplies for it.

Heat is also an issue with these - try and elevate it off the desk.

I run mine on top of a laptop CPU cooler - it blows cool air through the router.

Have never had a shutdown/reboot issue.

If you WAN connection type is DHCP, it might be a firewall DHCP renewal request issue.
