Connecting my Dish DVR to a Verizon Mifi using DD-WRT Router

Alright I'm new to this and I read that I can use my Old Linksys router to connect to my Verizon MiFi and an Ethernet cord from the router to the receiver. I had everything set up on my computer (Client Bridged) and when I moved it to my Dish, it stopped connecting to the internet even the computer as well. Any ideas what I could do?
