I do think there is a demand for this router, and I would love to see & use a 4mb firmware (like the La Fonera) that supports the WIFI, otherwise it looks stupid having a router with antennas and acting like a regular router.
I have too tried all suggested operations and have happily got it working.
A few notes :
I have not managed to access the redboot via 192.168.80.20, i used this suggested tool to make redboot available at the default 192.168.1.1 ip.
Also another important tip is to make sure Firewalls are off (windows firewall for instance), this killed my TFTP transfers about 5 times until i figured it out.
The entire procedure took about 3-4 hours (not fully working on this) and I'm not yet sure if its worthwhile, depends on how this router now functions.
Hi all, I have one good things for you. I'm able to boot and run successfully OpenWrt. Everything works ok except WiFi LED indicator.
I'll write tuto(step by step guide) how to do it. For people, that bricked the router, I have solution too(serial console). Everything will be asap on the OpenWrt wiki.

Thanks, entered to redboot but can't make this thing
now start a local tftp server on your computer and place ap61.ram as well as ap61.rom in the root dir of this server
back to the redboot enter:
load ap61.ram
go
server have started, but when writes load have answer
There is no ap61.{rom, ram} in link I've given you.
Be aware of bricking your router! If you don't know what you are doing don't flash it.
It is _not_ required for this router to run wrt. ap61.{rom, ram} is probably another RedBoot(bootloader) and in case of failure there is no easy way to recover.
I've successfully installed an OpenWRT trunk yesterday...
It works flawlessly.
WAN and LAN ports are automatically adjusted, Wi-Fi works in Station and AP mode at the same time without problems.
However i prefer DD-WRT and so i'm waiting for it's official support
