Don't forget that when you are in the Belkin firmware you will be addressing the router at 192.168.2.1 and upon reset to DD-WRT you will be addressing it at 192.168.1.1. You may need to unplug and replug your LAN cable to get a good re-adressing from the router or disable/enable your LAN connection. Of course you can get all IT about it and address yourself statically in these subnets but on this router I did not have to resort to any extraordinary gymnastics. It was a slam dunk. Everything works except the 5ghz and it has been up for days performing all kinds of duties.

Is anyone able to confirm support for F7D4401 v1? - the ADSL model of the same Play Max router.

I suspect this may be a redundant question, though search found no specific mention of this model.
Would like to be 100% as the router is not my own.

Eko: your efforts are greatly appreciated, thanks!

remove the power lead . keep the wps button pressed and power the device on with the wps button pressed for 10 secs.

set a static IP adress on you nic in one of the following ranges

192.168.1.X
if this doesnt work try
192.168.2.X

if this does not work as well , reset the device with the reset button at the back and then try the static IP adress

once you have set the static ip on your nic, acces the mini web gui and load either the belkin fimrware back up again or upload the dd-wrt firmwar in this post

I have killed it like this several times today and revived it using the method mentioned above

good luck

Eko, thanks for this build!

I saw the BIG build and said what the hell, and flashed it to my Asus RT-N16

Wireless and Wired internet is fast and stable.
Interface is snappy.

Great build overall - like it a lot!

That definitely seems helpful. Too bad I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff.

so I have flashed eko's latest build on the belkin play max router. attached 1gb flash drive shows up in /mnt , if i ssh into the router and LS the /mnt directory I can see the files.
but if I direct \\192.168.1.1\ , it just shows me the public folder . and I cannot write anything in here .. ???

so I went down the path of installing optware on the flash drive . and yes , I can get Midnight commander to work , but again cannot see my attached flash drive as a nas storage ??

any idea's

Hey

Just wondering if there is a new version of dd-wrt for the F7D4301 or if there will be any further updates?

Cheers

big THX EKO for this great release!!!

the build 15230 runs like a charm on my F7D4301 ;)

this router looks ugly but the performance is more then great ;)

and yea the 3G/Umts works now perfectly with my Huawei Sticks e1750 & e3765-HV. No probs with reconnects and absolutly fast connection.

Only 2 wishes i have is:

1. See db/signal strengt network gprs/edge/3g/hsdpa ... on Statussite on ddwrt.
2. 5ghz Driver for Wlan ;)

Olla,

i open my F7D4301 and look if really an BCM4718 in there and yes ;)

Now i trying to check some overclocking and yes too ist works fine after 8hours working.

I looked the CFE for standart ClockFrq and is:

Code:
nboardtype=0xd4cf
boardnum=12345
boardrev=0x1204
clkfreq=453,226,113

i dont understandy why Belkin do this low Clocksrates for the Bcm4718 ?

Never mind Wink
I check Overclocking Frequenz and Yes too works stable and with great speedup too ;)

480, 240, 120 works
500, 250, 125 works
532, 266, 133 works ;)

for more first i will do a active cooling for it.

for add use ssh:

Code:
nvram set clkfreq=532,266,133
nvram commit
reboot

here dmesg:
Code:
CPU: BCM4716 rev 1 at 532 MHz
Using 266.000 MHz high precision timer.
console [ttyS0] enabled
Dentry cache hash table entries: 8192 (order: 3, 32768 bytes)
Inode-cache hash table entries: 4096 (order: 2, 16384 bytes)
Memory: 59768k/65536k available (3144k kernel code, 5704k reserved, 1479k data, 144k init, 0k highmem)
Calibrating delay loop... 265.42 BogoMIPS (lpj=1327104)

anyone knows why wrong CpuID output?
@EKO or BS plz add overclocking support on ddWRT for that Router plz.

greetz ice
