So apparently me buying this router today and hoping that it would work with DD-WRT came at the right time! I can't stand the default Netgear webgui and was about to take it back because I couldn't find DD-WRT for it! Very Happy

One thing that wasn't mentioned.. Eko is on vacation for the next 10 months Razz

So does anyone actually HAVE it working, or do we all just assume mega will run on it?
If I don't hear a success story, I get a little freaked out.

you can't just flash the latest build without explicit support for a router and expect it to work

besides, it's my understanding that this router will need a custom build

Any new updates on the progress of the build? Is there anything we can do to help?

So it's pretty safe to assume we're not talking about the WNDR3400v2 here? My v2 model has a completely different cpu..

# cat /proc/cpuinfo
system type : Broadcom BCM5357 chip rev 1
processor : 0
cpu model : MIPS 74K V4.9
BogoMIPS : 264.60

I don't know if the v2 is in retail channels yet. There's a place on Netgear's ftp for firmware, and there's been some language file updates, but no firmware on their site. Doing a search on their website for "wndr3400v2" shows nothing. Doing a google search doesn't show much either. I personally received this router from netgear though, it's on my network right now, I know it's legit Smile

Would you feel comfortable dumping the CFE and mtd files to USB?

There should be instructions by me earlier in the thread.
