Ok I really want to try this. If I brick my M10 will I be able to use tftp (or other method) to return to stock? Also I already updated the fw on it to the latest provided by Cisco. It's at version 2.0.01. Is that going to hinder me in anyway?

There is nothing to fear. As I stated earlier, I already tried this on my M10 and it worked fine. Even went back to stock to make sure that worked. No issues whatsoever.

Well i can confirm that it does load for you,

Unfortunetly, I cant save or apply settings, It just takes me to a blank white screen.

Could this be caused by v2? also how can i revert back to original fw?

Upgraded two of these router today.

They both would not upgrade from the stock 1.0 firmware.

Upgrade them to the latest linksys firmware.

FW_M10_2.0.01.008_US_20100715.bin

Once this was on the routers it would allow me to use dd-wrt.v24-15257_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m10.bin from the web gui.

Things i noticed after the upgrade was the web light and the wireless light did not work. only the power and lan lights worked. I still had wireless functionality.

Was able to use both routers as repeater bridges.

Hope this helps as useful feedback.

I am curious if the M10v1 is the same hardware as the WRT610Nv3, can I use the builds listed as compatible for the WRT610nv3?

This is for the M10 v1 only. The M20 is not supported yet.

Registered here just so I could say Thanks so much for this firmware suggestion. I updated to this Firmware on my M10, and it's now not only much faster, but I no longer have long stalls on websites. Solved all my problems. Thanks so much!
