Hi guys!
Until i coluldn't find an answer, i registered to this forum and hope for some help.
I flashed my WRT610n with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/24/10) mega.
Everything works fine for me, but just one issue:
I configured my dyndns and it syncs well.
After this I wanted to set port forwarding to my NAS with integrated ftp server, which worked best before with the linksys firmware. Not so yet:
i went to NAT / QoS, Port Forwarding and wrote in:
Application FTP
Protocol TCP
Source Net (empty)
Port from 21
Ip Adress 192.168.1.2
Port to 21
and enabled it and applied.
But when I enter my dyndns adress example.homeftp.org (really an example ) i will be redirected to my router gui. when i type ftp://example.homeftp.org i get a timeout, no connection.
BUT canyouseeme.org says, port 21 is NOT blocked.
The NAS is configured well, it is like before flashing the new firmware.
When i flash my router back to stock firmware, it works all fine ;( how to disable the web gui and make up my ftp through internet?
Are there any things more i need to do?
why not?
it works with the stock firmware, too... i mean, it worked ;)
So do you mean, from another connection it will work?
Have to try... but why can i get on my web gui via my adress? i am a little bit confused...
i don't want nobody to have access to my router, but want to get access to my ftp... how to disable the gui via wan?
Sry for my stupidness, really. i would have let the stock firmware been installed, but i had to make this upgrade because of the wireless lan signal strenght.
There is no any else function i need from dd wrt but just the WLAN.
why not?

With that logic, you should ask Linksys why WLAN doesn't work well in their stock firmware when it does in dd-wrt..
There is no loopback from lan to wan to lan in dd-wrt now.
Why do you see a need to contact your ftp server by using its wan ip when it is located on your lan and you are also on the lan?
The wan ip aaddress and the router port forwarding is for connections from the outside, use its lan address when you are connecting to it within the lan. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Markus says BS is working on a fix but we'll have to wait and see...

The stock FW supports Loopback, but dd wrt does not?
If it's really that easy, i would be happy.
Have to find somabody, who can test it for me...
Edit. Ok guys, helped me a lot.
If a noob comes along and cant find any reason for this, he'll get upset and will kick ddwrt again^^
Almost like me. I'm glad i asked here before and am very thankful to you!
It works!

If a noob comes along they should read the forum announcements and use the recommended build which doesn't have this problem. _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly! Be cautious if you're inexperienced.

I'm sorry when i did not see things, i had to see.
I read so many things and just got confused.
DD WRT is just a big thing. Just look at the opened threads. Over 900 pages...
