Hi, Is this feature page just a placeholder or is there real functionality here ? I tried to generate a certificate and it just sits there doing nothing. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the insightful response. I'm so glad that I paid money for your product.

I fill out all required fields and hit generate certificate, then I get this "generating 0%, this may take a long time" and it just sits.

Is anyone else running DD-wrt on a Routerstation Pro and trying to get Free-Radius working ?

The biuld I'm using is v24-sp2 build 14896. Any help would be appreciated.

I have hit the same problem on a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std.

"generating 0%, this may take a long time" is staying there no matter what I try to do. The load on the router tells me, that probably really nothing is being generated. Tried to reset the router to the default settings and generate the certificate again - and I have hit the same problem again...

generating the base certificate, especially the random number dh can take a very long time. i have seen 10 minutes and more, depending on the hardware. you can check on the console with "ps" if the openssl command is still running. once its generated you dont need todo it again. its saved on the jffs space. also ensure that jffs is enabled before you start.

check also that your data is correct. some entries do not allow spaces like locality and state. the demo data within the default set does work 100%

I installed v24-presp2 14896 on my Asus WL500G Deluxe Router.

I tried to find freeradius in the menue, but I couldn't.

Where is freeradius located? Do I need a special version?

I must say that I have a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH
with DD-WRT v24SP2-EU-US (08/19/10) std - build 14998
(Buffalo official build) and I am also struggling with freeradius.

I was thinking that enabling freeradius in the menu, filling the requested server certificate data and hitting "generate Certificate" would actually generate a certificate.

It seems that at least in my config there is a problem. Is there a way to do it by hand? How can we supply debug information to you so you can better understand the problem?

Thanks for feedback.

Raz.

PS: I am have just received the router and have played with dd-wrt for a few days oscillating between frustration and thrill. I am getting addicted to dd-wrt!

After some thought, I finally found the answer.

One has to activate JFFS2 Support in Administration/Management menu, then the freeradius certificate generation works.

:D

Exactly (in the meantime I had find out that on my own Smile ).
And to activate JFFS2 support, a USB flash drive needs to be connected to the router - for those, like me, who missed that point.
