bridge Vista connects Ubuntu doesn't

Hey people, I need some trouble shooting advice with repeater bridge setup. Everything seems to be working correctly except for the fact that with the same laptop Vista connects and allows internet access but in Ubuntu/linux it connects however with no internet access.

I have double checked all settings in router and the only thing that strikes me as odd is that Vista connects saying WPA personal and Ubuntu says WPA2.

can anybody steer me in the right direction to get this working properly? Thanks
