I have read and understood the Peacock thread. But I still have unanswered questions left.

1.) Is all the information given in the Peacock thread for Broadcom devices only, as it says in CAPITAL CASE on the top?

2.) Are there recommended builds vor Atheros based devices?

3.) Despite the very few recommended builds, what if I'd like to have my stable running Router updated due to a security breach that got fixed (e.g. KRACK). Is it recommended to update? The Wiki article I found is not clear enough for me about that, whether I will get my router to be unstable but KRACK fixed.

4.) Why is the misleading router database (full of wrong recommendations) still not taken offline?

5.) BTW: A lot of FTP-Links got outdated and do not work anymore.

1. The Peacock Thread is for Broadcom devices only.

2. Atheros based routers have recommended builds on the atheros sub-forum here: https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=28
Both in the named thread (TP-Link Archer C7 for that router, etc and New Build Threads).

3. Read the build threads on the Broadcom thread, also read the link in my signature.

4. It should be, but it may never be. E-mail the website devs (info@dd-wrt.com).
