I'm trying without luck to activate repeater brige mode when the main router is on WPA2.

I'm using micro build and even tried the last few builds.

Main gateway is using WPA2 with AES?

Also what unit are you trying to do this with? hopefully not your signature router, because it should not use micro

Main router is wpa2 with AES and it can be any router.
I was recently in a hotel in Europe, they were using Linksys router with WPA2 AES, I wanted to connect via vpn to my house but their network class was as mine at home, 192.168.1.X.
With the repeater bridge I can connect and get an IP address of 192.168.2.X and connect back home.
I tried it in the past and it worked when the main router was with no encryption but with wpa2 it doesn't work.
Since then I tried in couple of other location and same problem.

Firmware build???

Did you try the recommended FW in the announcements section...I have WPA2-AES running R and RB setups without issues.

There are no recommendations for RB only R.
My current version on the wtr54gs is 15396.
Any recommendation on what to test next?
I can try the test at home I'm running wrt160n with 15396 small-vpn

I was able to create a link RB using the latest build from BS 15407.
My question is:
How can I enable different subnet to for the clients connected to the RB router.
As far as I can see it does DHCP_auto_forwarder and I do not have control on it.
