Why isn't this router (RT-N56U) listed as supported in the router-db if there is a firmware working for everyone?

Since the firmware working is not a DD-WRT firmware?

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but can the .trx file just be uploaded via the ASUS (I'm currently on asus firmware version 3.0.0.4.360) web interface and flashed?

Thats exactly what I'm talking about. Can that be flashed via the web interface?

is the official Asus firmware (3.0.0.4.374.979) based on DDWRT?

If so does it have any limitations?
Are we still able to run scripts and such?
Use WAN port as a LAN port while in Bridge mode?
Watchdog?

Hello,
Is this device supported? I really need dd-wrt on it before May 2015. Will the Asus RT-ac56u firmware work on this device? Somebody on another thread directed me to the Betas folder but only the RT-ac56u is listed there, not the RT-n65u.

Shows in the dd-wrt router database as not supported. Doubt the ac56u firmware would work otherwise they would have released a modified version specifically for the rt-n56u. Most likely due to the ralink chipset.

If you truly need an alternative firmware seems OpenWRT is fully supported on this router now.
