@deltatux , ssh is not available, just plain ol' telnet. It's not such a big security hole, they just disabled this function in the UI and I figured out a quick way to get it back
So its been like 5 weeks since Darryl donated the router and not a peep, I hope BS isn't having problems with this new chipset.....Any quick update by any chance? Even if its to say that you've been busy with other models.

I still have some problems with "seeing" folders while using the upnp service. ( earlier versions seemed to work ok)
I can only see 2 folders. I changed the folder order around by using numbers at the start of the folder e.g "1 Video" and "2 Music" etc. Now i can see only the 1 Video folder.
Its like its hit a index limit size or something.
Can anyone shed some light on this or is it just me with this problem?
They seem to have removed the older firmware from the new look firmware page
On the older firmware page they only have the 1014 not 1015
EDIT, just noticed that on the asus site i can access 2 different download pages for the RT-N56U. Each having diffent version numbers as being the latest.
Anyhoo
Im currently testing out 1015. The router restarted itself after 10 mins of running. Iv no idea what caused it.
Has anyone else got any issues?
EDIT 2:
The router keeps restarting a few minutes after i connect a hard drive.
Now, the 1015 Changelog is online at the asus site:

What do you mean? All download web pages on the ASUS site that I find seem equal (e.g. when navigating through "products" vs. "support")? I don't count the ftp server, by the way...
The differences i mentioned earlier about download sections are completely irrelevant. Looks like they left the older download section to rot. ( or just didnt update it).
Anyhoo, how are people getting on with 1015?
Im still haing issues with the upnp for a connected hard drive.
Same here, no problems with 1015.
But i´m not using any of the aidisk of media server features (got a nas connected to its lan port).
Is anybody aware if someone is actually working on getting dd-wrt (or maybe another alternative like openwrt) to work on it?
performance is great - i only find the user interface to be a bit weird.
