hi guys. I have successfully installed the dd-wrt firmware on a wap54g v3.1. I read about the two methods of changing the mac address. I know the first one isn't permanent so I have 2 quick questions. #1 how often would the mac address change since it's not permanent. #2 will the unit become inactive as a repeater bridge if the mac address changes?

Using method 1 the MAC address is lost at every reboot, if you set it as a startup script you should have nothing to worry about.

thank you very much! I'll set it as a start up script and rock and roll.
