I am aware that it is not broadcom. I just wanted to know if it includes the feature set in "Mega"
Judging from the file size ~7MB I guess it has lots of features. Is there a way to know what is included in the build without flashing my router?

Thanks!

tried to upgrade from netgear stock (1.0.0.24) to dd-wrt r18777 using the netgear3800-factory.img from the web interface and it doesnt work shows this.

This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product.

ok everything seems to be working fine even wireless! i am using mixed-NG (wpa2 personal aes) on 20mhz (ill try out 40mhz later though i hardly use wireless so i wanna be nice to my neighbours and stay on 20mhz on a channel nobody uses heh)

the only thing so far i see thats wrong is this lol

Netgear WNDR3700 v2

lol it says its a 3700 v2 haha, trust me its a 3800! it says so on the box and its red on the front panel! lols i guess thats a easy fix for brainslayer.

According to specs, the WNDR3800 is just a WNDR3700 v2 with 64MB more ram than the 3700 v2, so it showing that its a wndr3700 v2 is no big surprise.

yeah i know but would of been nice to show WNDR3800 also the lights for the lan are the wrong way around shows orange for 1gbit and green for 100mbit hah but yeah its definelly working right just using the wrong colour, damn how i missed the blinking lights w00t!

EDIT: ok apparently the light colours are correct for lan, netgear was wrong lol.

mazey can you pls dump the beginning of the 1.0.0.16 firmware for me, I'm interested in the hd_id and its memory values.

Anyone who has 1.0.0.18 or 19 please do the same.

yeah its stable in 2.4ghz but i have 5ghz off since i dont have any devices that can use it. so im not sure about 5ghz. i kept connecting with my android on 2.4 to check if wifi was still working and it worked everytime i try, i hardly use wifi just on my phone i have everything wired gbit.

Very well. I use 5G extensively, so I'll be testing the stability. With four laptops, three smartphones and a couple more devices on the wireless network, one frequency isn't enough Wink
If I don't complain here within a couple of days, it's most likely stable even under rather heavy load.

It appears to be pretty solid, surviving a full windows backup over 5Ghz.
One weird thing was that the bandwidth graphs didn't show any traffic while backing up from a wireless to a wired box.
Also; is it possible to control the leds like in OpenWRT?
