WZR-HP-G300NH wireless problem

I am current using build 15962 on a WZR-HP-G300NH router and my wireless on my laptop is really slow. I had the same problem with the ddwrt build the router came with. The thing is, I live with 3 other guys and their laptops and wireless adapters work fine. However, my laptop works fine on other wireless networks.

In status > wireless, my TX Rate is always around 1-11 MB while the other wireless laptops are at 117 MB. My RX Rate is the same as the others though which is around 58 MB. Does anyone know what would cause this problem?

My driver is up to date using hp's driver website. I have a atheros AR5009 wifi card.
