Fonera AP Mode and wiki howto...

Hi,

I have my Fonera connected via LAN on my ethernet LAN. I want the Fonera act as an access point, so letting my wifi eeepc use the Internet via the router I already have connected to the same lan.

So I exactly tried this howto:

but, simply, it doesn't work.

To fix, I had to create a bridge between ath0 and eth0 on br0 to have my LAN and my Fonera (WIFI) work in the way any AP is supposed to work.

For precision:

Setup -> Networking -> Assign to bridge

Assignment 0: br0 to eth0
Assignment 1: br0 to ath0

Save, Apply, et voila', NOW it's working.


In the howto, there's no trace of this bridge setting...

Can I edit it to correct/fix or maybe I made any error following that howto?

Without the bridge setting, the AP is not working nor contacting the LAN, so it's totally unuseful.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the wiki. While setup AP mode and network bridged, it should automatically bridge ath0 and eth0 on br0. Unless you forgot to disable WAN to free up eth0.

...but this doesn't happen to me... dd-wrt is the last version. Sad

Try build 15704 first.
