dd-wrt v24-sp2 (05/08/11) connected to a cable modem.
on it's lan there are several computers which i can access via lan/wlan, but not via lan using the dyndns hostname/external IP of the router, e. g.:
host/port 192.168.0.98:8000 (tcp) is accessible via lan/wlan (quite normal)
but even if port 8000 (tcp) is forwarded to the corresponding host. i can't access it from the internal network by using the external ip address
Filter WAN NAT Redirection is disabled! see screenshot
OTOH i can access it from the wan device, e. g. using my gsm phone.
THX for help!
It's a loopback/masquerading issue. See this thread for the problem, and this ticket for phuzi0n's firewall fix.

Off topic... but on unit. I am presently looking to change out my L E3000. I purchased the E3000 to replace my aging wrt54g. The E3000 can't hold a candle to the old girl.
I am looking at both this unit and the Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H. Could someone with knowledge of both voice an opinion?
I need a router to serve 2 dt pc's 4 lt's Wii and PS3 not all at once . but several at a time. The unit will be placed in a corner of the basement, with 2 floors above that. Each level will have some combination of the items listed. High power is key and Cat5 not possible ($400+ to have installed) because I'm handicapped. The present E3000 covers terribly and drops connection constantly.
No there's no need for you to use this webflash file.
If you look at the dates, the post on page three was made on the 9th of February 2011 and the build you use (17201) was built on 06/14/11 which is the 14th of June 2011 so it's definitely newer.
If you are interested in upgrading your actual build and you don't fear any bugs or broken functions you can find latest builds on the FTP. _________________ AVM FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable | FW 85.05.07
Netgear WNDR3700v1 | DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/20/11) std - build 18024
I'm completely new to DD-WRT. I have a WNDR3700-100UKS V2 router and wish to flash with DD-WRT to enable an automatic VPN connection. I've read through this WiKi and the main DD-WRT webpages. The information leaves me with one question. Which version of DD-WRT to use. In the ftp I find:
