I recently purchased an RT-AC66U and installed Merlin's build, RT-AC66U_3.0.0.4_270.26b. The system info page reports the bootloader CFE is version 1.0.1.4.
I found no mentioned of this newer version in this thread. Are there any changes with this CFE version that I should be aware of before flashing the 64k build previously mentioned to work with 1.0.1.3? Has anyone tested this CFE version yet?

Just bought a asus n66u. Got things installed ok but i'm having trouble with the reliability and some things don't seem to work as they should...
I installed the latest firmware:
dd-wrt.v24-20979_NEWD_2_K2.6_mega-RT-N66_64K.trx
Its not all that great, if it actually worked properly that would be awesome... its not discovering my computers on the network and my iphone is having trouble connecting to the wireless, among other problems...
Could you guys upload a stable version which you guys have been using for a while and know it works as it should? Otherwise i'm probably ganna go with Rmerlin on this one... i swear i don't want to!!
I've read over these forums, and greatly appreciate all the work done.
However, I'm still not sure which build is the most stable, as far as complete functionality of dd-wrt is expected.
I've seen that KONG 20575 should suit my needs.(unless I missed something?)
Fractal 20979, has some issues still.
Is Fractal 20801 stable and fully functional?

Thanks!
Make sure you have the whole nvram, cfe issue clear before you do anything. Seems like just yesterday 2 people bricked theirs flashing the wrong firmware.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm good on that. Just need to know which firmware I should flash with
Which firmware is stable and allows full utilization of dd-wrt? (no bugs or issues)
The mythical one.
There has to be at least one version which is near perfect.
Or is this project about installing a version that is somewhat functional, while waiting for improvements and avoiding "brickification"?
I'm trying to connect my TV to my router, but due to the insanely high bit password (63 char), I can never get it to connect because I mistype one or two letters. I tried to do it via WPS but after pressing WPS on my router, the TV said it couldn't find any WPS enabled routers in the vicinity. Does WPS work? I don't see WPS button in Administration > Management either. _________________ ASUS RT-N66U

Hm, I have been noticing an interesting issue with the latest build of Fractal's. Seems to either be dropping packets, or something is restricting packet flow, as I can no longer watch a 1080p youtube video in full length without it buffering every ~30 seconds.
If I plug directly into the modem this issue does not happen, so it is definitely the router. :/

Instead of trying to connect your tv wirelessly to your main router try getting another dd-wrt router and connect your tv to it and bridge to your main router. I have successfully done this and I have all of my video devices hardwired into this one bridged router. (TV, Blu-Ray, Xbox, Roku, AV Receiver) it works awesome and I never have to worry about the passwords on any of my other devices only the one bridged router.
