Every day, the memory usage increases by 10 MB. There are from 10 to 20 the maximum WiFi clients (someone comes, someone out). Several lan users. Firmware DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/09/14) kongac (SVN revision 24200M). 1 day memory used 70-80 mb, 2 day 80-90 mb, 3 day 90-100 mb. Almost a week of using the memory usage passes for 130 mb, but I had to reboot the router and then I did not betray any special significance. I only enable qos - HTB fq_codel. Wifi settings standart except - long preamble, Beacon Interval - 50, DTIM Interval - 1, Fragmentation Threshold - 1024, RTS Threshold - 512. Static IP for internet. 5 GHz radio off. Clearly something wrong with memory usage or do I think?
Interesting case: when I picked up the values for wifi after applying the settings sometimes stop responding web 192.168.1.1. When it hangs i try via telnet he worked, after 5 minutes web intarface works, but when I switched between tabs page i get CFE loader page that offered resuscitation firmware and then router rebooted itself. If not change anything - router works stable. It is not clear what to do with memory.
Hey, I got an N66U today, and as I'm terribly impatient/lazy, I uploaded DD-WRT firmware straight on to it, without following the Wikis. The firmware I used was 'dd-wrt.v24-24461_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_RT-N66U'. Now the router can't be accessed at all, though. Not using the wireless nor ethernet - I have it connected to my PC and Windows says it's a 'unidentified network'. If i connect to it I can't access '192.168.1.1'.
I've tried hard resetting and stuff, but nothing helps. Have I essentially bricked it?

As far as I know, all (recent) Asus routers have recovery mode. Use the Asus Recovery Tool (download it from Asus website), OEM firmware or Asuswrt Merlin firmware and put your router in recovery mode. _________________ 2 times APU2 Opnsense 21.1 with Sensei

You used a firmware for 32k nvram on a unit with the newer bootloader which has 64k nvram.
Try using the firmware restoration tool and/or serial recovery. Hopefully that's not too much work for you.
Take the lazy way out. Go buy a new one lol. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

You can flash any trailed rt-n66u k3.X build for initial flash. Don't use the latest as some have reported issues.
After flashing the first build, telnet into the router, type erase nvram, enter.
Then type reboot, enter.
Then flash Kong's last oldd or newd build.
I have installed dd-wrt.v24-21676_NEWD-2_K3.x-big-RT-N66U on my Asus RT-N66U. I understand there are some newer version of Kong that for one thing make setting up Guest Wireless easier. I also 'understand' some Asus RT-AC... routers Kong firmware can work on my model.
Can someone share what is currently recommended and where it is at? Also, can a .bin firmware version be uploaded after the K3.x-big-RT-N66U version above?

Just installed dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC.bin and working great so far on my Asus RT-N66U.
Interface is modernized and definitely more features!
One of those is selecting Regulatory Domain. I keep setting it to United States and it keeps reverting back to Europe. All my other settings in that area are set to 'off.' Is that why it is not changing? And is it necessary to set this field to begin with?
If so what should Regulatory Mode and TPC Mitigation Factor be set too?
This is the newest DD-WRT I have ever run. Thank you all for your work in this field.
I couldn't get it to change off if Europe either but I didn't worry since I had all the channels available to the USA. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
I am noticing Packet Loss of Received (RX) 47944 OK, 38 errors and Transmitted (TX)135931 OK, 7 errors on wl0 and on wl1 Received (RX)56081 OK, 1 errors and
Transmitted (TX)100490 OK, 10 errors.
Never really paid attention to this before but it seems sort of high. Is that an accurate statement?
