I have a slightly weird problem. I went from DD-WRT with the build in sig (did the CFE 1.0.1.3 mod too) to stock firmware. I erased NVRAM following the Wiki and in the Recovery GUI. For the past few weeks, I've noticed that my Internet runs pretty slowly when I am multitasking multiple sites. For example: Browsing Neopets and Internet in general while watching streams on Twitch simultaneously and using VOIP.
I want to start from a clean slate now and flash back to the "latest and best build" of DD-WRT. However, how do I do this? I tried following the Wiki page and I just got a brick, forcing me to flash back to stock.
Edit: And I just saw the sticky. Guess I'll try that? It kind of addresses my problem I think? _________________ ASUS RT-N66U

Can somebody say what wireless driver used in kong build k26 r22000++, old or new? I know that new driver has a problem with random reboot on n66u.
I'm not aware of any random reboot problems with new drivers on non arm devices.
In the topic "Random reboots new driver" user earthmind wrote that he had a reboot because of some iphone device on n66u kong ac 24200m newd. So I guess that might be a problem, I have 20 users on wifi including with different iphone devices so I do not want to risk experimenting, i install oldd 24200m. But there is a problem with the RAM usage, maybe because of the old driver. I use cron for everyday reboot and now it can be called "stable". But if no one has a problem with newd on n66u i try to flash 24200m newd.

There are other user errors, that can cause a reboot or stall, this is the only report of a random reboot problem on mipsel devices, thus likely it is not a problem with the driver, but a setup problem, e.g. if you don't setup correct directories for minidlna mount or transmission you may run out of memory. _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/

Did someone has such a problem - when I first flashed kongac 24200 oldd transmitter power was 71 mW, when I set 100 mW change does not take effect, the signal remains the same. After router reboot signal become 100 mw. Now I flash newd 24200 and 71 mW signal remains even after rebooting. When i flash back 24200 oldd signal was again 100 mW. Any ideas how to solve this problem?
Whenever I download something off the Internet, my router resets itself because it can't handle the download load, despite having my Internet capped at 25 mbps downloads and 2mbps upload. I am on build 25015 by Kong. When I was using 21402, I never had this restart problem.
Edit: Downloading via Torrents right now and the router is restarting multiple times. I know it's not a bad build as the problem is specifically with my router. _________________ ASUS RT-N66U

I am using the RT-N66U router with:
Firmware Version:
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (05/27/13) mega - build 21676
Kernel Version:
Linux 3.9.4 #125 Mon May 27 10:19:14 CEST 2013 mips
and I have 15 wireless devices connected and it will randomly restart? Disconnect all wireless devices? I dont know. I added a battery backup to the router in case it was just a power failure and it still happens. It hasn't done it for about a day.
I installed the DDWRT firmware and plugged in the router and started using it. I was using it for about 4 hours maybe and it disconnected all the wireless devices. I reconnected the devices (they dont connect automatically when the wireless comes back otherwise I could care less) and maybe 7-8 hours later it disconnected the wireless devices again. I added a battery backup and 12 hours later it did it again. What is causing this? How can I trace the problem?

Must be the new Broadcom-Driver as far as I heard it doesn't allow manual tweaking with the Transmission-Power anymore but works the best set to 0 and to the country with the highest Transmission-Power (e. g. Singnapore). Beware that 's what it is for Tomato at least. Just use the last OLDD build if you want high Transmission power or Tomato with that fix if it doesn't work for the NEWD DD-WRT builds.
I'm really new of DDWRT but a friend with a Netgear talk to me very good about this firmware.
Yesterday night I flashed and configured latest beta K3x build (12-03-2014-r25544) in mega version.
It seems ok, but I'm not sure about what I do and if is ok.
What differece there are between Mega and Big version?
What I should flash? There are any fork of developer that I could check out and try?
