Gigabit?

Thanks for your reply Alex.

Yes, the router I'm trying to configure a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH.

The Gigabit Ethernet cards I've installed are D-Link DGE530T.

I am using Windows and the card is set to Auto by default. When I go into "Advanced Properties" for the NIC and set it for "1000/Full" the NIC resets but does not come back online. Only going back to the properties and setting it again for Auto (or 100/Full) will restore the connection.

The drivers are the latest-and-greatest from the D-Link site.

I'm at wits end....I was almost hoping you would have said "Nah, the router won't do gigabit" so I could stop thinking about it :-)

My router is currently flashed with r16214 ..... is this release supposed to support 1GB?

Your router is Gigabit. The firmware does not matter when it comes to Gigabit support, unless it is using a corrupted driver. r16214 works just fine for me. You need to either uninstall and reinstall the Dlink NIC or replace your ethernet cable with either a Cat5e or Cat6.
