Yes that's been my plan all along. I've finally gotten a mini k2.6 build to compile now after reverting to r15759 (just before loopback broke) and applying several various fixes I've found scattered all over... k2.4 still isn't building though.

I'm burnt out so I'm not even going to test that it runs until later.

Do you have any tips to bypass rflow error or you never got it?

Are you exporting only bin dir from toolchain or others as well?

I might try OpenSUSE later...

I've only been trying to build mini versions which don't have rflow so I haven't had that problem. From all the info I've learned it seems that the source is always left in an unbuildable state full of errors that have to be fixed. Try rolling back to an older revision like I did and maybe it will go away.

I only export the bin directory in toolchain-mips-4.1.1 and toolchain-mipsel_gcc4.1.2

Yeah, now that you said that rflow isn't in mini build, you made me remember that I've only successfully built mini. I was trying to build big this time..

OpenSUSE is almost ready.. I let you know how it goes..

Just for you to know, I was able to build 15508 mini-usb-nas, but without madwifi, don't know if it's relevant or not. I have all trailed builds, but I guess I can rename .trx to .bin for a generic one.

I don't think it was distro related either, big/mega has always been tricky to build.

So any of you wouldn't mind virtualizing it and sharing (in the end?)

Will you also install the stuff for nslu2?

I don't mind, I have just 2 personal projects for now, and just one needs dd-wrt source.

I was actually just helping phuzi0n and LOM making it work.

Yes that's been my plan all along.

My VM will be for compiling k2.4 and k2.6 Broadcom builds only.

The build I compiled bricked my wrt300n v1.1 as I suspected it would... Sad

@fggs - Since you have a bunch of trailed builds I take it that you used a script? Is it k2.4 or k2.6? Does it run?

No, I haven't used a script, Makefile generates it by itself. It's K26 and I haven't tested because I have only one router and no tools to recover it here, so I would prefer that someone with debricking skills and tools to test it first.. Like I've said, there's no madwifi, but I guess it's atheros related?!

If you like I can attach it here or via pm, let me know.

I can give you a brief description of my steps also

Yeah madwifi is the Atheros driver for people that swap out their radios. If you PM the build I'll try it out sometime over the weekend. Don't worry about explaining any steps unless the build actually runs.

Your build is bricking my wrt300n v1.1 too. I've just been resetting it with jtag since I can get a good connection easier with jtag. I'll use serial later to check what's going wrong in the boot process but it's a p.i.t.a. to get a good serial connection with the wan port serial pads with my cable.

I have an idea, I will pm barryware the build, he has lots of routers, likes to fix it and it's friday, he can drink all he wants while figuring why it's bricking :D

It's clearly a win-win situation..

So I finally got around to getting a serial log and apparently it's being compiled with an instruction that BCM4785 doesn't know.

No, I don't. That's another reason why I didn't pursue this path....

I just want to make minor changes to the firmware that I somehow can't get BS to make.

Well, during compiling it says it can't find defconfig-bcm947xx and the only similar file I found is defconfig-bcm947xx-slimrtr, so I renamed and it compiled, but I don't know if it's the right one anyway..
