Yes, I have 19342 Big running on my RT-N16. Running well thus far.
Mine running mega has lost function twice in 4 days so far, needing a power cycle.
I have these lines in firewall:
iptables -I INPUT -p udp --dport 68 -j ACCEPT
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o br0 -s 10.11.12.0/24 -d 10.11.12.0/24 -j MASQUERADE
i will have to keep my eye on that. I recently moved to 19519 MEGA on 2 routers 2 days ago. I suspect that there is maybe some issue with port forwarding that I will have to give a couple of days to see if it happens.
Previously I had no problems with 19432 BIG and had an uptime of atleast 2 weeks.
Has anybody given a serious test to the latest Asus firmware? I just wonder if it is better for the average person since ddwrt seems to have issues at this point in time.
I didn't even bother to check the new Asus firmware. I flashed ddwrt immediately.
i tried latest asus firmware today on my rt-n16 and after playing with it for about 2 hours i decided to go back to dd-wrt, i was unable to make wireless stable and get good performance when copying files from wi-fi to lan , extremely slow on different channels\options etc.

Bought a new RT-N16 and flashed her according to the Wiki. I have the Mega 19342 build on it.
My primary purpose for using DD_WRT is that it gives me MAC filtering with 256 MAC ID slots. With this router and build, whenever I enable MAC filtering the wireless signal disappears. I can still log into the router backdoor through another access point on the network, but it seems like the wireless radio is turned off when MAC filter is on.
Any help with a fix or recommendation for an appropriate build would be greatly appreciated.

Is dd-wrt.v24-15943_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega.bin the recommended build version?
I just ordered an N16 and I wanna give these things a try.
Thanks
The svn15943 was the version the user asked about. In my RT-N16 I use the svn18946 mega build version. I don't know if it is the recommended version.

Thanks.
Your version works for you okay and everything?
I've installed dd-wrt on a few routers before. Some router play a lot nicer with dd-wrt than others.
I first started getting dd-wrt because it gave me the ability to ssh into my router and wake-on-lan my servers.
I am in the process of helping my parents upgrade thier network for a medical office. Their current setup has been a WRT54GL running Tomato 1.28 for many years without a hiccup.
I need the most stable firware possible for the ASUS RT-N16
I read on a forum that 14929 was the recommended build for all routers
The only things i do with the router are as follows
- Be able to forward lots of ports
- Wireless N and Wireless G (i read at begining of this post that this router doesnt work if both N and G are enabled)
- Use the built in adblocker
Is that firmware still considered the MOST stable for this router?

I can only tell my personal experience. I run 14929, with G only enabled. I've run it for over a year with the enhanced power supply and a usb laptop cooling fan. The router has been up for 26 days. It probably had a power outage restart. This router seems to be able to stay on for as long as you need it. I think you'll have to stick with G wireless. I know N is sweet, but I could not get this router to work correctly when G and N were both enabled. I'm using optware on a 16GB usb stick (optional).
I don't think most users in a medical setting would notice the difference between G & N, unless you're transferring a lot of big files. (tip: research power ethernet adapters if possible and 'encrypt' the connection or VPN.) _________________ Asus RT-N16 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mega - build 14929
