What about buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH? It is very powerfull router with USB support and all...

Just purchased a similar model here in China; WCR-HP-GN. I love the DD-WRT system I was able to install and configure on a Linksys WRT54G (2.0). Wish I could be as successful with this new model. So far I cannot even determine if there is an appropriate build for this WCR-HP-GN unit. Buffalo has not released a DD-WRT OS or other OS supporting OPEN VPN for this unit as it has for units sold in other locations. I need not speak of the necessity of using a robust VPN here in China. STW for a few hours today with no joy. Any pointers most welcome and most appreciated.

After learning do s and dont s of using proper equipment and material - My old 160n v3 had been replaced by a E2100L.

I "Would Hope" support for the E2100L continues as it appears to be a really nice unit for the $.

1043N of course.

I'm also interested when this "new" firmware will be made. Until now this is all thin air.
At the moment i'm happy that bugs are fixed in the latest builds (we had to wait month until bugs for standard functions like dyndns were fixed)

So don't get your hopes on this "special firmware"

I see 3 months ago we got word that " REAL SOON " this new software should be ready for some of us to use and report back on. I am sure it's going to be out of this world then some. AS in GREAT !

I really can't want. i have my votes here:

My votes in order are:

Dir-825 B1/B2 ( I Have a B1 )
Netgear WNDR3700 v1
Netgear WNDR3700 v2 ( Buying 2 of them )

DIR-615 E1 , E3 ( I have 3 E3's and 2 E1's )

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 1.1 &1.4 ( Buying 2 od them )
TP-LINK TL-WR941N
WZR-HP-G300NH
WL-520GU

I really like the idea of Vlan port bases support VLAN tagging & 802.1Q trunking.

Some really cool things are breaking open here I can't wait.

I am going to be happy to BUY the DD-WRT packs for the unit i what to play with I can think of 4 so far. I will SUPPORT this team. Gosh know I am going to ask enfugh questions to get my $ worth too!

Thank you one and all !!

My vote is for 1043ND

I have just bought one and after working my way through Stock and Open-WRT (many hours wasted on O-WRT) - I now am loving DD-WRT.

For what it's worth I voted Linksys WRT160NL although I doubt it will get to No.1 now

It has to be: WNDR3700v2
It has some decent hardware with the possibility to be a great router and is becoming more and more popular...

If a new FW would be built for this unit it would be solid. Addressing ports forwards or triggers and wifi tab disappearing. Cool

If the voting is still open, I have for the DIR-825. Seems to be light on the support side.
