wzr-hp-ag300h please!

If the radios can actually do the fcc-tested 1 watt, then this baby could FLY with the right firmware. Thanks!

How about we get the stock firmware working to a reasonable degree before there are any more paid versions?
Two plus years in and its still a mess.
Qos is broken.
Dns now busted
5ghz site survey is busted
No ath9k drivers by xmas and we are well into july now.
Rams leaks.

Just to name some of the generic bugs and not even touching on the different units and brands.

Iam all for making money but you need to make sure the people are happy first before you expect them to pay for extras.
Why would someone want firmware with such bugs or if they are not there why would they buy it knowing its mostly gpl code?

Personal I don't see a reason to be a Special Version for none of them. I may repeat but one thing useful for the Atheros would be that every release that BrainSlayer does, to be related with all kernel modules compiled for the specific version (at least an .zip archive)

I don't know how much effort whould take this, but will be very useful.

Thanks Smile

I find it quite odd that a survey is being taken to find out who would be interested in buying a custom version of a product that is essentially broken on the WNDR3700.

Get some of the basics (QoS, TCP Vegas) working first guys then maybe ask if we would be interested in a paid version that offered additional features.

At this time am I not only not interested in a paid version, I am actively discouraging friends from wasting their time with any version of DD-WRT until these basics are fixed

I wouldn’t put too much faith in smallnetbuilder.com ratings; a few years back smallnetbuilder.com had the DLink DIR 655 rated as one of the best routers. IMO the DIR655 is a POS, I had two of them and both would either lock up or drop my connection every three to four days. Unfortunately dd-wrt can’t be installed on the DIR655. The upside is after the DIR-655 routers failed I started using dd-wrt and haven’t used vendor firmware since.

i would gladly pay for dd-wrt for my new router, my first choice was the E4200, but its a WIP, so i bought the wndr3700v2, with the latest netgear firmware 1.0.0.10 it runs great, none of the earlier problems seen, its fast as hell on lan, and strong wifi, but i am afraid to flash dd-wrt on it based on the numerous problems listed in the forums here, its a bit scary, but i bought it for the soul purpose of dd-wrt and at home vpn services...

thanks, tubbygold Cool

Just found this thread, which answers one of my questions in the Broadcom Special forum.

Linksys WRT160NL, please! Fine router, natural successor to the WRT54GL with which it all began.

As soon as a special edition becomes available for this router of mine, I'll buy it. Smile
