Hello all!

Router is configured as access point, no wan, and last firmware used is DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/09/15) std - build 26653.

My problem is that I cannot ping the router form some hosts on the network.

Host1: it is a virtual machine on a linux server. Ping timeout between virtual machine and router, both directions. Ping OK between the router and the server that runs the virtual machine. Another virtual machine on the same server works good! The interface emulation on the virtual machines is bridged.

Host2: it is a Samsung mobile phone. Ping timeout from the network, ping ok from the router. Mobile phone can connect to the internet, but other devices on the network cannot ping it. Other wireless clients work good.

Host3: Alarm system connected on the router switch, can go to the internet, not reachable form the LAN from hosts connected on the same router switch! (router was configured as wireless client)

The trick :
Code:
swconfig dev eth0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth0 set apply

did not work.

I tried also an older firmware, same problem!

My opinion is that the router switch "do not like" packets generated by some hosts.

Any hints?

Thanks.

I've added this report to the proper ticket http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/3736#comment:17
I can't do more than that. It's up to the devs to fix this or not.

Thanks for your efforts KrpyteX. Sad to see you had to close the ticket. Where are the devs in this forum? It's so disheartening to see that we are being ignored... Sad
