Hi, DD-WRT, please let me know as the database for DD-WRT still doesn't show D-Link DIR-815. Please let me know incase, I can use alternate firmware or other way of making my router as wireless bridge. If available, please suggest. I have two routers and want to use DD-WRT. Thanking you in anticipation. Can someone please respond on this thread about the experience. thank you once again in advance
Thanks for sharing the link. However, this link do not have Dlink Dir-815 in this list. Can you please provide an update on that or some other alternative to make Dlink-dir-815 as wireless bridge. Will be highly appreciated.
So either no one bothered to test DD-WRT on the D-Link DIR-815 rev A1 router, or the database hasn't been updated with the test results.
By following the procedure listed here and using the router's info you provided, I'm not seeing any hints that the device wouldn't be compatible with DD-WRT. The device's chipset is Ralink and there seems to be enough RAM/Flash memory.
Okay, so you guys would need a user to donate a D-Link DIR-815 for you to test DD-WRT on it. It makes sense.

What would the worst possible scenario be if i tried using the D-link Dir 825 ddwrt build on the 815...? BTW, someone has posted all the dir 815 info for over a year now, yet we do not know if its compatible or not, why is that...?
This hasn't been answered yet.
In the meantime, could someone use the firmware of another tested router (like D-Link DIR-810L or D-Link DIR-825) to test DD-WRT? Is there any chance of bricking the device?

I just received one of these today. I will try whatever firmware you want! (Don't care if I brick it!) Let me know I'll give it a shot

I have an 815 H/W version B and would be willing to test potentially compatible firmware.
I think this router may have been a Canadian version of a US model. Anyone have any ideas as to which one?? That may help finding a compatible firmware.
The three versions use completely different hardware for CPU, RF chips as well as ETH and SW chips and you will find that all those chips are not commonly used for other models as shown on the Supported Devices List: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices
Although I have no idea why dd-wrt is not ported to DIR-815, the fact is that it is not supported as yet and it is pointless to try builds from other models on DIR-815 as the hardware is so much difference. I can't guarantee that doing so will brick the router but it is possible.

I know this subject hasn't been looked at since 2014, but I own a Dir-815 and I would like to use this software to make it a network adapter, but I don't even know if it is possible because it is neither listed as compatible nor incompatible on this website or any others.
Please respond soon
Thanks.
EDIT: I have the B1 model if that matters to anyone
