[Updated Below w/ Solution]

Yesterday, I did a clean install of OTRW. I can access all services via SSH; however, I am no longer able to access my web GUI. When I navigate to http://192.168.1.1 I get the following error in Firefox "The connection was reset: The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." After issuing the following command in SSH
Code:
httpd -h /www

I receive the following error: 404 Not Found. Has anyone experienced this problem or could you direct me to a posted solution different from the web GUI reset above?

Update: After further troubleshooting, I have found that this error occurs even when Optware is turned off and external USB storage disconnected. After power cycling the router and issuing
Code:
httpd -h /www

in SSH, I can access the GUI until I attempt to alter a setting. Once a new setting is applied, the error described above reoccurs and I must reissue the httpd command in SSH in order to regain GUI access.

Did you enable xinetd service after installing OTRW? It is required for gui access after installing OTRW. Issue the following commands from SSH or Telnet.

Code:
service xinetd on
service xinetd start

Thanks for the swift reply. The problem occurs even w/o Optware running. I shutdown Optware with
Code:
/opt/etc/init.d/optK

and then disconnected my external USB drive in order to troubleshoot.

I found that even then, the problem still occurs and seems to happen only after applying a new setting. I noticed that the section of system essentials freezes and the WAN IP: changes to 0.0.0.0. Soon thereafter I get the "Connect reset" error described above. With OTRW running, issuing the httpd command only results in the "404 Not Found" error when navigating to http://192.168.1.1. Interestingly, I can still access Samba swat at http://192.168.1.1:901 as well as the Asterisk GUI at http://192.168.1.1:1313/cgi-bin/asterisk. Could this be a setting in OTRW or in the web GUI itself?

Update

It seems that the httpd server is not surviving a reboot. With external USB storage disconnected, I can get the web GUI to work with
Code:
httpd -h /www

However, this does not survive a reboot and I have to give the command again to re-access the GUI. With OTRW active, give the httpd command has no effect...browsers return "404" errors. How is the httpd server controlled in DD-WRT and what might cause the conflict with OTRW?

After resetting router to factory default settings and reinstalling OTRW from scratch, the web-GUI problem appears to have resolved. My apologies for cluttering the forum with n00bness.
