the Wiki for WR850G v1 seems to be bullshit as for DD-WRT 23SP2.
DD-WRT 23SP2 moto micro/mini will lock LAN ports(eth0) on WR850G v1 ( i confirm 25 found in forum messages ) and connect WAN port(eth1) to bridge, even manual commands

nvram set lan_ifnames="eth0 eth2"
nvram set wan_ifname=eth1
nvram set wan_ifnames=eth1
nvram confirm
reboot

will bring nothing - LAN and WAN will be dead

Any clever ideas ?

But it can be updated to DD-WRT 23 w/o losing LAN

DD-WRT 23 mini moto changes

boardflags=0x0388

to

boardflags=0x0188

What mean this ?

It means that afterburner is NOT enabled. I checked the code and this is default for motorola v1.
If you can confirm that setting this to 0x0388 work well, I will change the dd-wrt code.

nvram set boardflags=0x0388
nvram commit
reboot

changed already by hand, w/o any + or - effects on LAN

The problem is

original motorola setting is :
lan_ifnames=eth0 eth2 wds0.2 wds0.3 wds0.4 wds0.5

DD-WRT 23moto didn't change this and works

but SP2moto flashed directly on motofirmware detects V1 correctly as WR850G v1
but changes

lan_ifnames=vlan0 eth1 eth2 eth3

and even manual change to lan_ifnames=eth0 eth2 and wan to eth1 brings only slowdown and cyclic reboot

NVRAMS attached

This problem was posted many times allready

P.S.

which setting (188 or 388) enables Afterburner ?

P.P.S.

as by Moto WE800 V1 there can be also subversions of WR850G v1 ( i have here
2 diffrent WE800 V1 units, one seems to be 100% linksys WAP54Gv1 with motorola firmware (same CPE with default IP 192.168.1.245 etc )
