If there is written: "Activation required" - then you need this version of license.

To get your activation please proceed as follwos:
- flash your router with the correct dd-wrt version
- get the systemkey
- login at our activation center: https://secure.dd-wrt.com/site/professional/activation
- copy the system key into the box, press ENTER and get your activation key.
